Pearls of Danube

The group arrives to Budapest airport – Airport pick-up. Round trip by bus and first rendezvous with the city to see some interesting places during your way to the hotel. Our guide will take you to the hotel in downtown, taking half an hour or so. After, you may go to explore the surrounding district on your own or have a rest in the room.

Breakfast in the hotel. The guide will meet the group in the hotel 9: 00 City sightseeing: Castle district, which is on the list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
12:00 Explore and enjoy the serenity on Margaret Island: the island provides a peaceful hideaway from hectic downtown Budapest with large green areas, flowery gardens, old trees, and lots of entertainment. The island’s attractions include romantic walkways, medieval ruins, a small zoo, musical fountain, a water tower, swimming pools, a water park, open air theatre and cinema, and some great clubs.

14:50 Boat trip on the river Danube - back to the city centre (Gellért tér) on the public transport
boat.
15:30 Walk to the Great Market Hall on the Liberty Bridge The Central Market Hall is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest. From 17:00 free time: Walking along Váci Street. It is the most renowned pedestrian shopping street of Budapest. It stretches to a little more than a mile between Vörösmarty Square and the Great Market Hall.

9:00 Explore the 3 pearls of the Danube Bend. Drive to the handsome city of Esztergom, former capital of Hungary from the 10th to the 13th-Century and situated on the border with Slovakia. Its cathedral, the Esztergom Basilica, is the largest church in Hungary. Continue to Visegrád, a small castle town on the right bank of the Danube. Here you will explore the remains of the Royal Palace and visit the citadel of Visegrád
Castle. Take some souvenir photos of the Danube Bend from the castle’s fantastic elevated vantage point.
The group will enjoy a 3-course lunch in a local restaurant at Visegrád before continuing to the picturesque town of Szentendre. Well known for its art scene, you will stroll through the charming streets, lined with contemporary art galleries, craft shops and boutique stores.
